Her comments to the South Coast Register follow a vote at the Liberal Party's annual federal council on the weekend, which called on the Turnbull Government to privatise the ABC. The motions voted on at the council are not binding.
Mrs Sudmalis said ABC Illawarra and ABC South East did a “phenomenal job” in the region.
She said suggestions there needed to be more coverage in regional areas was not true for her electorate.
“I think most countries have a national network and we want transparency,” Mrs Sudmalis said.
“There are suggestions there needs to be more coverage of the regional areas, but I think our ABC reporters are doing a particularly good job.

Speaking about the ABC on the South Coast and Far South Coast in Parliament on Monday, Mrs Sudmalis said they did a “phenomenal job”
She made particular note of ABC South East’s coverage of the Tathra fires in March.
“I have the utmost respect for them,” Mrs Sudmalis said.
