GPH was awarded the Shoalhaven HASI tender in late 2017 and set up offices in Ulladulla and Nowra to support local people with mental health issues.
The office is located at Suite 17, Level 2 (The Holt Centre) Kinghorne Street, Nowra.
HASI team leader George Hamza says the group’s program provides people living with mental illness with support so they can maintain successful tenancies and participate in their communities.
“This support often results in improvements in their quality of life and, most importantly, assists in their recovery,” he said
“We are all about building capacity in the people we work with and we invite anyone interested in finding out more to join us on the day.”
The team had temporarily worked out of Grand Pacific Health Centre, Nowra.
“We have been in the process of setting up a permanent home for the team for some time now,” Mr Hamza said.
“Lots of work has gone into making sure the space is inviting, easily accessible, as well as accommodating of private individual appointments and group sessions- including cooking, craft and music groups.”
Grand Pacific Health offers a range of services for mild to enduring mental health issues in a variety of locations throughout south-east NSW.
