Her silence has been deafening and I wonder why. The answer being with the Turnbull government’s latest run of losing polls extending to 34, why would she make any comment?
Compounding the conservatives’ problems has been the endorsement of the sitting member Ann Sudmalis by party heavyweights Turnbull and Morrison for party preselection to contest for her seat of Gilmore.
One could say, “Enter stage right the next act called stupidity.”
Never have I seen a more dedicated attempt to engage in an activity that may surely result in the seat of Gilmore being handed to Labor.
The polls, bookmakers and the voters of Gilmore via their collective mediums are indicating they have had enough of the Turnbull government. All that is left for the passage of time to pass and off to the polls we and in my opinion that will put the final nail in the conservatives’ coffin.
The installing of Turnbull as Prime Minister might have seemed a good idea at the time but as past events have shown it’s time for urgent corrective action in an attempt to make amends.

Not too late to donate
The Salvation Army is encouraging the Australian community to give generously to the Red Shield Appeal to help us reach our end of financial year target of $7.5 million.
It’s not too late to donate and make a big difference in the lives of Australians in need.
In a typical week, the Salvos provide more than 17,000 beds for those suffering homelessness, around 40,000 meals for the hungry, in excess of 1,400 financial counselling sessions and refuge for more than 100 women affected by domestic violence.
By reaching its target, The Salvation Army can meet the growing demand on services and make the greatest impact in our community.
The Salvos would like to send a big thank you to all those who have already donated to this year’s appeal.
We would especially like to thank the nearly 70,000 volunteers who collected during the Red Shield Appeal Doorknock weekend.
The Salvation Army is overwhelmed with the incredible generosity which took place right across the country.
Thank you for helping The Salvation Army provide a hand up to the most disadvantaged people in our community and for giving hope where it’s needed most.
To donate to the Red Shield Appeal, please call 13 SALVOS or visit salvos.org.au.

Road work a joke
Has anyone from the paper been out to have a look at the supposed finished Flinders Road, South Nowra.
What a joke!
We have waited all this time this load of rubbish to be served up as job done. Not to mention it’s over six months late. Have a drive along it. It’s rough, uneven and poorly made. We will be lucky to get three months out of it before major repairs are needed.
Why didn't they hot mix it like they have done at each end of it?
Council should have got a contractor in who knew what they were doing.

Poor state of Origin
The only State of Origin I watch is my Origin power/gas bill. Whenever there is an “estimated” read, the next quarterly bill is always sky-high for some reason, although you know you used no more than usual.
The meter does not know an estimate was made, so cannot adjust the usage, so when they do the next “actual” read, you get charged twice as much. That’s how they rob you. They think the customer is a half-wit.
