Endeavour Energy emergency crews have been dispatched to the area to find the source of the problem, checking powerlines between Tomerong and Sanctuary Point.
It is estimated power will be restored to 1850 homes by 6.30pm, but it could be later depending on how quickly crews are able to identify and fix the problem.
