This week, spare a thought for the students in the Shoalhaven in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sitting for NAPLAN exams.

Knowing it can be a stressful week, Bomaderry High’s P&C committee asked Manildra to sponsor breakfast for children sitting exams.

Manildra was happy to chip in, and students enjoyed a free breakfast this morning, and will come back for more on Wednesday and Thursday.

Teacher Jenni Raison suggested the idea to the committee, and was pleased to see it implemented.

“I’d seen it done at another school I taught at, and kids overwhelmingly said it was lovely to have people thinking of them on the day,” Mrs Raison said.

“It’s a nice thing to do to take the stress out of the day.”

With fuel and sustenance provided to get through the day, there’s no doubt the students will do their best.
