Various Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea events are being held around the region to support an important cause.
Cancer Council NSW, this month, is encouraging people across the Shoalhaven to gather their friends, family or workmates for a cup of tea and a bite to eat whilst raising money to support Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, to help those affected by cancer.
One Australian is diagnosed with cancer approximately every five minutes – the length of an average tea break.
Almost every Australian will be affected in some way by cancer, at some stage in their life.
Linette Hardcastle, on Tuesday at the Callala Community Centre, hosted what was a great morning tea.
The Callala Bay event raised over $1700 for the Cancer Council.
Another big morning tea will be held at the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre on Thursday May 24.
