A recreational fisherman recently found out the hard way that the lights at the boat ramp were not working.
He said the lack of lights was a safety issue and needed to be fixed.
“The lights don’t even look like they actually work - one points upwards and another is covered in cobwebs,” the fisherman said at the time.
He recently found it difficult to find the ramp at night after coming back from a fishing trip because of the lighting issue.
He said the lack of lights was unsafe.
Council has since fixed the lights, which has made all recreational fishermen happy.
Council completed the Sanctuary Point Boat Ramp at John Williams Reserve and made significant improvements to the car park, access road and the landscape in October last year.
There now exists a two-lane boat ramp with a fixed timber jetty.
