The veterans and members of the Huskisson RSL Sub-Branch, who organised the day, could not stop smiling on Wednesday.
They were happy because this year’s Anzac Day at Huskisson would have to rate as one the best ever and a huge crowd attended the day.
The number of school children at the event pleased veterans like Ray Pearson - see video below.
During the wreath placing ceremony at Voyager Park, the students once again took centre stage and every school in the Bay and Basin was represented on the day.
They marched and placed wreaths at the Voyager Park memorial and students from St John the Evangelist and the Nowra Anglican College also took part.
The choir from the St Georges Basin Public School then sang to the crowd - see the video below.
The Vincentia High school captains Lauren Allen and Jackson Andre took part in the ceremony and it was a proud day for both.
Lauren and Jackson reflect on their experience - see the video below.
Well done to everyone who took part in the event and it was a day to remember.
