The well trained team of volunteers executed a rescue of a dog which had fallen 10 metres from a bridge on a remote road near Sutton Forest, on Wednesday, April 18.
Having been notified about the injured pooch by a member of the public via a 000 call, he was found by the SES crew with two broken legs, presumably sustained during the fall.
The SES applied first aid before transporting him to a vet in Moss Vale.
The dog’s name was Rex and he was recently rescued from the pound. However, our SES volunteers decided to name him Lucky.
Lucky has a long recovery ahead of him before he make a trip to his new home in Karatha, Western Australia.
The SES volunteers wished him a speedy in a Facebook post.
