The Princes Highway at Nowra is almost at a standstill with northbound traffic stretched as far as the eye can see.
Motorists are advised to allow an extra 25 minutes travel time.
And for those who decided to divert and “take a shortcut through Nowra” it is not turning out any better with Kinghorne, Berry and North streets along with Bridge Road virtually being a car park.
But this is nothing unusual, and even normal weekend traffic can now cause such delays, just this long weekend the volume is more.
No doubt this will further heighten calls for a bypass of Nowra.
Further south on the Princes Highway and Ulladulla to Milton northbound traffic is also heavy with motorists advised to allow around five minutes additional travel time.
