This Sunday at 3am, clocks switch back to 2am local standard time.
Sunrise and sunset will be about one hour earlier than the day before but there will be more light in the morning
It is also a chance to change the batteries in your smoke alarms as suggested by Fire and Rescue NSW.
For all those lovers of daylight saving, do not fret, you only have to wait 189 days or six months and six days until we again get longer hours.
This year it starts on Sunday, October 7 at 2am.
