The improvements include Woollamia Boat Launching Facility – stage one pontoons and boardwalk, Admiralty Crescent jetty and a paddle craft facility at Dent Street.
Woollamia Boat Launching Facility is one of the busiest boat ramps in the Shoalhaven. This project was made a possible with $490,000 of NSW Better Boating Program Now funding. Stage Two pontoons will start later this year.
The Huskisson Paddle Craft Facility will enable vessels such as canoes, kayaks, surf skis and stand up paddle boards to enter and exit the water safety. This project was made possible with $230,000 worth of NSW Better Boating Now Funding. Shoalhaven City Council will be funding $45,000 work of landscaping to enhance the cul de sac site in May 2018, weather permitting.
The Admilitary Crescent Jetty new berthing facility provides an enhanced 24/7 facility for the Marine Rescue Association. This closer location to the Unit’s base in Huskisson has improved response times and assists the volunteers in their tasks of saving lives on the water.
