A WOLLONGONG man caught with more than 100 abalone at Manyana has been fined $2000.

Jordyn John Clulow, 22, of Warrawong appeared in Nowra Local Court on Monday facing charges of possessing more than the permissible limit of fish and possessing prohibited sized fish.
In a case brought by the NSW Department of Industry, court papers said Clulow was caught with 102 abalone at Curvers Drive, Manyana on October 25, 2015, a number of which were undersized.
The allowable bag limit according to the NSW DPI website is just two a day.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming fined him $1000 on each count, of which half the fine will go to fisheries.
She also ordered he pay $1000 in professional costs.
