On Thursday, January 4, a 22-year-old woman parked her white Ford Ranger in Moss Street at around 4.30-pm.
She returned a short time later to find her car stolen.
About an hour later police located and spoke to a 19-year-old Nowra man in the same street. The car was found in a nearby laneway.
The man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station where he was interviewed in relation to the offence.
Upon his arrest police located a small amount of cannabis on him.
The man was charged with various offences including ‘take and drive conveyance’, ‘unaccompanied learner driver’ and drug matters.
He was given conditional bail to appear at Nowra Local Court on January 22.
