After dismissing the hosts for 129 in their first innings, despite strong innings’ from Stephen Knight (33) and Dylan Art (18), the visitors set about chasing down the total.
The pick of the bowlers for Nowra were Brad Ison (3/17), Justin Rumble (2/6) and Lewis O’Brien (2/26).
On the back of an amazing 262 third wicket partnership between Alex Legge and Lewis O’Brien, the visitors easily claimed first innings points.
Legge scored an incredible 177 not out, an innings which included 21 boundaries and five sixes, while his partner O’Brien managed five boundaries and four sixes on his way to scoring 85 not out.
On the back of these two, Nowra declared at 2/271 – well and truly claiming first innings points.
The two wicket takers for the Bay were Praveen Varghese (1/42) and Darcy Knight (1/66).
Chasing the outright points, the visitors then dismissed the hosts for just 61 in their second innings.
The star with the ball was John King with 5/3 from his 7.5 overs, while Justin Rumble and Ben Palmer claimed two and one wickets respectively.
At Bomaderry Oval, Bomaderry made the most of their strong first day and secured an outright win against North Nowra-Cambewarra.
On the first day, Bomdaerry’s total of 9/266 declared was led by 64 from Travis Roth, despite Blake Fruet claiming 4/68.
In reply, Norths made 148 in their first innings thanks largely to a crafty 44 from Paul Davidson.
With the ball, the hosts were led by Michael Blattner, who finished with 4/8 from his five overs.
The hosts then forced Norths to follow-on, chasing an outright win – which they secured when they dismissed Norths for just 85 in their second innings.
James Batson (27) top scored for Norths while the Matthew Bell (5/41) was the chief destroyer for the hosts, as Matthew Hiriart (2/32) and Mick Blattner (1/4) also claimed wickets.
In the final game at Hayden Drexel Oval, Berry-Shoalhaven Heads cruised to an outright win against Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens.
The hosts made 64 in their first innings before Berry declared at 8/221 – thanks to 62 from Dylan Cosgrove and 59 from Dale Lovatt, while Ben Philpott finished with 5/64 for the hosts.
In their second innings, Ex-Servos were rolled for 75 – with Lachlan Duggan (3/24) and Dylan Cosgrove (2/6) doing the damage.
