Firefighters from RFS brigades in Cambewarra, and West Nowra with units from Fire and Rescue NSW kept the fire from spreading from the shed, however the contents were destroyed.
The nearby house was not damaged and no body was injured.
RFS inspector Chris Palmer said the fire was not being treated as suspicious.
“It was a metal shed 10 metres by 10 metres, in an open area with little or no water near by,” he said.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended with the region’s only Compressed Air Foam (CAS) tanker and used the foam to smother the fire.
Fire and Rescue NSW Nowra station officer Edwards said the shed was fully alight when firefighters arrived.
“There were cars inside the shed and one outside. The fuel tank on an Audi outside the shed had a split plastic fuel tank which kept flaring up.
“Thankfully the area around the shed was clear.
“It was a really good combined effort with us working together with RFS,” Inspector Edwards said.
