Men and women, retired or semi retired, are invited to join U3A and participate in a wide variety of courses.
Enrolment days are Thursday, October 5 and Friday, October 6. Enrolments may also be posted or left in the U3A No 5 mailbox at the entrance to 48 Berry St (opposite the Roxy theatre)
Fitness is catered for in Ladies Learn Golf, Beginner Dancing, Croquet, Tai Chi, Tenpin Bowling, Lawn Bowls and Scottish Country Dancing. There are also games and health sessions.
Juan Alvarez returns with his fascinating series on Forensics, Dr Vincent Cincotta presents two sessions featuring La Traviata and Geoff Spencer offers insights on Our Vanishing Natural Heritage. On this theme, there are also two sessions on bees.
Topically, there are sessions on Bushfire Management, Travelling and at Home and Your Electricity Bill, with information assisting you to find the ‘right’ tariff.
Lloyd Pitcher presents a wonderful series on American History from Revolution in 1776 to Post Civil War Reconstruction, 1877. Popular regular presenters offer Archaeology on The Pyramids of Egypt, Philosophy and Science. There are also films, excursions and travel sessions amongst the more than 30 courses.
U3A (University of the Third Age) provides learning opportunities in a relaxed, supportive and social environment with no academic qualifications, assignments or examinations – and no awards.
