James Darren Weidig, of Culburra Beach, pleaded not guilty in Nowra Local Court to two counts of making a statement which is false or misleading and two counts of having goods suspected of being stolen.
It is alleged on December 17 last year he attempted to pawn a Samsung Galaxy tablet at Nowra Pawnbrokers and made a statement knowing it to be false under the Pawnbroker and Secondhand Dealers Act 1996.
It is alleged he turned up again at the business on December 23 and attempted to repeat the process, this time with a Hewlett Packard laptop.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming has listed the matters for hearing in February next year.
