Mr Morris, who started in term one, had the daunting task of replacing Jill Appleton who was principal of Bomaderry High for over 20 years.
Vice President of Bomaderry High’s Parents and Citizens Association Maureen Ardler said the new principal was good to work with.
“He is very approachable, is willing to listen and is also very fair,” Mrs Ardler said.
“He is also happy to step up and make decisions based on the best interests of the school.
“I am happy to see that Mr Morris is making students one of his main priorities and has taken a hands-on approach to getting to know the students by getting out among them on a daily basis.”
Mr Morris addressed a recent P&C meeting and shared his vision for Bomaderry High.
He believes it is important for Bomaderry High to have positive interactions between staff, students, parents and the wider community and to work collaboratively with the other local high schools.
Mr Morris informed P&C that BHS has registered to be an eSmart School; is using the wellbeing and the School Excellence Frame works, is participating in AIME and is looking to utilise programs that assist students in regulating their own behaviours.
I am happy to see that Mr Morris is making students one of his main priorities and has taken a hands-on approach to getting to know the students by getting out among them on a daily basis.

School captain Trent Hilaire said he, the representative council and the other students look forward to working with Mr Morris.
