Thursday: Midweek mountain bike ride – Parma Creek Nature Reserve – 35 km return / Moderate pace / Unsealed Roads and Bush Tracks. The ride will start at 8.30am from the united service station on the Princes Highway, Tomerong and will be a mountain bike ride in the Parma Creek Nature Reserve using bush tracks and gravel roads.
There are a few creek crossings along the way.
Suitable for experienced cyclists. Coffee after the ride at Fast and Fresh, South Nowra. Contact: Rod 0428 211 487.
Sunday: Coolendel Lookout – 40 km return / Moderate pace / Significant hills / Some traffic / Unsealed roads / Mountain bikes are required. The ride starts at 9am from the carpark, corner of Princes Highway and Pleasant Way, Nowra (at the helicopter).
This ride provides spectacular views of the Shoalhaven River and Coolendel camping ground, from the lookout.
For a shorter ride of 15km, and to avoid some long climbs, there will be a second starting point at the intersection of Bugong Road and Emerys Road at 10.15am.
