The 18-year-old finished second in a time of 3:41.69, behind winner Jordan Gusman (3:39.85).
“It didn’t really feel that quick – after last week (3:45) I felt I had a little more in me,” Edwards said.
Edwards now joins current Australian 1500m record holder Ryan Gregson on the Australian under 20 1500m all-time list.
