At Bomaderry Sporting Complex, Abbott, Nicholas Kuncio (26) and Terry Whelan (26) put the hosts on top, despite strong bowling from Max Eggins (4/12) and Dean Jones (2/39).

At Vincentia Sporting Complex, Berry-Shoalhaven Heads’ Richard Katon’s 72 and Ryan Lord’s 48 saw their team reach 8/237 declared. This was despite Bay and Basin’s Shayne Fisher claiming 4/27. Basin will start at 0/27 on day two, with Matt Edwards (14 not out) and Craig Eyles (seven not out) at the crease.
