Walkers made their way along the 8.5 kilometre trail from Huskisson to Hyams Beach in memory of Lachlan Thoroughgood who passed away in January from the disease.
“The weather was great, people were great, we contributed to an important cause and we got to honour a very special boy, Lachlan and so many others that are now at peace and pain free from this disease,” Organiser Katie Brugmans said.
“Everyone who participated today should be super proud of their efforts.”
“It means so much that this event was a great success and I can announce that together, with registrations, shirts, donations and other merchandise we raised $5872.00, amazing.”
