At Berry Sporting Complex, visitors Bomaderry won the toss and elected to bat.
The hosts were on the front foot right from the start, as Glenn Brandon dismissed by Ben King-Gee (two) and Sam Bagnall (nine) cheaply.
Nick McDonald (10), Zac Blattner (15) and Jarryd Sue (14) all tried to steady the ship with Blake Munilla (62) but the constant fall of wickets hurt Bomaderry.
Luckily for the visitors, the tail-wagged as John Muggleton (20) and Matt Hickmott (12) helped them get to 174 from their 44.2 overs.
Brandon and Lachlan Maddinson ended as the chief destroyers for the hosts, with ending with figures of 3/32 from their nine overs.
They were well supported by Tom Dougall (2/29), Chris McCarron (1/32) and Duncan Maddinson (1/32).
In response, Bomaderry got the early wicket they badly needed when Hickmott clean bowled James Fiedler for one.
But they couldn’t capitalise on a number of chances early in Berry’s innings, as the Maddinson brothers, Duncan and Lachlan, steered their team to victory.
Lachlan was eventually dismissed for 40 by Munilla, but his brother went on toe score 103 not out, an innings which included 15 boundaries. With the help of Connor Edenden (23 not out), Maddinson’s team past the total of 2/179 in the 33rd over.
Hickmott (1/42) and Munilla (1/39) were the pick of the bowlers for the Tigers.
McCarron, who has taken over the captaincy for the rest of the season from Keiran Gray, is pleased the team has started to put the results on the field he knows they are capable of.
“We have ramped up training lately and since then our cricket has improved,” McCarron said.
“A few personnel changes the inclusion of Tom Dougall and Conor Edenden have been great and helped us win the past three games.
“From the weekend, obviously Duncan Maddinson’s innings was brilliant, as a run a ball hundred is amazing at any level of cricket.
“Glenn Brandon was great with the new ball and Tom Dougall and the Maddinson brothers were great with the ball as well.
“In saying that, our fielding also needs to improve – we dropped Blake Munilla early on the weekend and he had a great knock of 62 and the week before we let Mick Perry off.”
