The Cancer Council Accommodation and Support Services coordinator, Jess McNeill, says by buying and wearing a pin on Daffodil Day, today’s ( Friday August 26)national day of hope, Shoalhaven residents can continue contributing to life-saving cancer research, advocacy, prevention programs and support services.
“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer, with one in two Australians predicted to be diagnosed by age 85,” she said.
“We encourage everyone to make a difference by supporting Cancer Council this Daffodil Day and so get out there, wear a pin, and give some fresh daffodils to someone you know.”
People can buy daffodils all over the South Coast region, including the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre, supermarkets, Berry Broughton Court, Nowra Bunnings, Nowra Coles, Nowra Stockland, Huskisson and Vincentia Marketplace.
