Organised by Jervis Bay local Deb Weeks, the event will be held next month to raise funds for the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre and boost the profile of bowel cancer.
Deb was diagnosed with the disease in 2013 at just 40-years-old.
While she’s now in remission from Stage 3 bowel cancer, Deb has made it her mission to raise awareness of the disease.
“I am one person, along with family, friends and community trying to make a difference,” she said.
“If we think back 10 or 15 years, breast cancer death and diagnoses rates were extremely high and it was the biggest cancer killer in women.
"Ladies, rock out with your frock out and men, dress to impress.

“This statistic has dropped dramatically because of awareness raised by communities, people like you and me trying to make a difference.”
Cancer for Cocktails will be held Saturday, September 17 from 6pm to 10pm at Wild Ginger, Huskisson.
Tickets are $85 and include canapes, noodle box and four drinks or two cocktails.
A new stand up paddleboard will also be up for grabs in a raffle.
With plenty of games, entertainment and laughs to be had, Deb encouraged ladies to “rock out with your frock out and men to dress to impress.”
The night will be particularly poignant after Deb’s aunty passed away just 10 days ago from bowel cancer.
“She was diagnosed just after me in 2013 but it had spread to her liver,” she said.
“It was be a lovely celebration of her life.”
Deb recently hosted the third Bowel Cancer Trivia night and said it’s been crucial to raising awareness.
“So many people have come up to me now and said they’re done their stool test or colonoscopy,” she said.
Deb thanked her family, friends and the local community for their support, along with the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Clinic.
“They save your life and they’re just so caring,” she said.
Tickets for the cocktail night are limited. Contact Deb on 0404 860 574 by September 10 at the latest to book your spot.
