The five-year-old gelding, ridden by Tommy Berry, took out the #theraces handicap over 1550 metres at Canterbury Park and was only one of five horses who was able to crack 12 seconds for their last furlong on the rain-affected ground on Saturday.
Regal Lodge spokesperson Dane Robinson said full credit had to go to Terry.
“He put in a late nomination for the race thinking the acceptances would come up short given the likely wet conditions and it paid off,” Robinson said.
“We were confident in his ability to take the next step, given the suitable track conditions, drawing a favourable barrier and having in-form rider Tommy Berry.
“We are waiting to see how he recovers over the next few days, after the ten day back up into last Saturday.
“The horse will tell us which way to go.”
