Jye is facing a battle with cancer and the club has decided they would hold a fundraising night to lend him a helping hand.
The club are covering all expenses incurred on the night, so all money raised will go straight to Jye and his family to help them in their time of need.
Following, first grade against Kiama at 2.45pm, the Fly for Jye function will start at 5.30pm.
“We worked in conjunction with the Kiama Knights, who Jye’s fiance Talarah Bell plays for, as both clubs thought it would be a great opportunity to hold such event,” Berry-Shoalhaven Heads president Jackson Bramley said.
A $20 donation at the door will provide you with a meal and entry into a lucky door. Also on the night, there will be a Jye’s Fly and Clip for Cancer.
As Jye is a known speedster, the club feel its only right to only hold an 100m race between BSHRLFC's fastest. Racers will be auctioned off, with 25% of the pool going to the owners, with the rest going to Jye’s family.
Ted Bowley has decided to shed his ‘well known’ locks as part of he Clip for Cancer. Once again, they will be auctioning off who gets the privilege to shave his head, along with anybody else who decides to shed there hair.
