Shoalhaven High School’s talented sports program continues to support students achieve their best on and off the field. So far this year Shoalhaven High School has entered seven rugby league teams, two Oz-Tag teams and two touch football teams in NRL and CHS competitions.

In what has been a highly successful 2016 the girls under 14’s were crowned southern champions, beating Bomaderry, Kiama and Warilla High Schools on their way to the Sam Bremner Shield held at Reed Park Dapto. This was the third consecutive year that a girls team from Shoalhaven High School has progressed through to a Southern Final.
The under 14’s and opens boys teams both won their gala days and progressed to the southern finals at Croome Park on June 14.
The 14’s were good enough but not lucky enough and went down 10-4 to a talented Kiama High School team in the final of the “Steelers Shield”.
The opens progressed to the southern final of the “Ben Hornby Shield” but were eventually outclassed by Edmund Rice College 28-12.
The following talented athletes at Shoalhaven High School were selected in the under 15’s and Open Zone Teams: Matthew Stewart, Adrian Blair, Taylor Haydock-Cross, Drew Gough, Jake Sloane, Evan O’Shea, Jordan Dickie, Jayden Kelly and Kuyan Wellington.
Adrian Blair was successful in being selected in the Southern NSW side and reserve for the NSW side whilst Kuyan Wellington continues to play with the St George Illawarra Harold Matthews team.
