The Rotary Pride of Workmanship Program enables business managers to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction, and publicly recognise them for their efforts.
The program’s objectives are to promote vocational service, encourage Pride of Workmanship in all vocations, and provide an opportunity for Rotary to be involved in the business community.
For the 2016 program, members of the Rotary Club of Nowra, through their contacts in business, approached a number of senior staff in each to determine if there was an interest in the Rotary Pride of Workmanship Program, and if so, did the organisation have a candidate they would like to be recognised.
The request from Nowra Rotary for business participation was enthusiastically embraced.
As a result, staff from Choice Pharmacy Vincentia, Ray White Jervis Bay, Corrective Services NSW and South Coast Music were awarded for the pride taken in their commitment and dedication to their respective employers, and their interpersonal relationships developed with their customers.
The award ceremony took place during a special night put on by Nowra Rotary at the Bomaderry Bowling Club. The recipients of the Pride of Workmanship awards were Julie Lenord, Choice Pharmacy Vincentia, Katrina Butler, Ray White Jervis Bay, Robert Duff, Corrective Services NSW and Gordon Navara, South Coast Music.
Congratulations to the winners and their sponsoring organisations.
The Rotary Nowra normally runs the Rotary Pride of Workmanship Program once a year as part of Rotary’s Vocational Service Program; however, businesses can propose candidates at any time.
