The clouds cleared for the event and all her helper’s work in setting up Polly’s picturesque back yard, at Callala Bay, was not wasted.
Nowra Rotarians, their partners, Reeve’s Wallace dancers, neighbours and friends bought mouth-watering refreshments of savouries, sandwiches and cakes and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of fellowship.
A big thank you to Polly and her team including neighbours Bob and Linda Downing and Janell Murison for creating a wonderful environment for the event that raised more than $800 for the Cancer Council.
Rotarians Graeme Cord, Janice Aljancic and Fiona Kibble also did a great job in selling tickets while others helped in the kitchen to prepare the spectacular table of food.
The architect of the event Polly, did an amazing job in sourcing an incredible array of lucky door and raffle prizes.
The afternoon was filled with endless raffle draws and most people took home a prize with some winning two or three.
On behalf of the Cancer Council an organisation that Polly is passionate about she thanked all the businesses that donated prizes, her team of helpers and all those that came to make it a most enjoyable fundraising event.
