Cowan has toured with the SBS Radio and Television Youth Orchestra to Italy, Malta, Vienna, Budapest, Prague, China, Japan, Estonia, Russia and Finland. She was also principal flute in the Australian Wind Orchestra and piccolo in the Australian Youth Wind Orchestra.
