He, Blake Wilbraham, Todd Burgess and Jarrett Wilbraham will travel to Canberra to attend the Storm Damage show.
“In Canberra, I will contest the featherweight title against the current champion, Simon Arentz,” Kemp said.
“He is a very skilful young man, so I will have to be on my game to take his belt.
“On the same night, we have three other fighters from Nowra competing on the same card.
“I have been training with these young men, even though they are from another gym, Warhammer MMA, their coach Troy Blacker and I are good mates and have known each other for a long time.
“Blake Wilbraham will be making his professional debut as will Todd Burgess and Blake's brother Jarrett Wilbraham will be also fighting for the vacant bantamweight title.
“His will be a harder title fight, as it is a one night-four man tournament, meaning he will have to fight two times on the one night, to take home the belt.”
Kemp, who has been involved mixed martial arts most his life, only started to take it seriously six years ago.
“For years, I would watch the Australian muay thai scene and would think to myself ‘man I would really love to do that’ but I would never commit myself,” he said.
“Then I saw mixed martial arts in 2001 and was really into it as an observer.
“As time went on, my weight blew out to 104kg and in 2007 I decided it was now or never.
“With children happening and being unable to commit myself fully, I finally made the choice to start training properly for a fight in 2011.
“I entered my first Brazilian jiu jitsu competition and won gold that year and fought my first ever MMA fight that same year at 77kg.
“I now compete at 65kg (featherweight).”
The 40-year-old Worrigee man opened Kemp's Thai boxing and Mixed Martial Arts in Nowra in January this year.
“I have always wanted my own gym from when I took fighting seriously, as I’m totally passionate about martial arts,
“I love teaching, I love helping children and I love helping people for fill their goals in life, whether that is weight loss, confidence building or if they want to compete themselves.
“Every Friday night is sparring night at my gym, to help us get ready for our fights.
“But the first Friday of every month is FACCA (Fighters Against Child Abuse Australia) Friday.
“On these nights, it will be an open to the public sparring session that they can watch.
“Anyone training that night and anyone watching will be encouraged to make a donation of a gold coin or more on the night and all proceeds go to Fighters Against Child Abuse Australia.
“I am a huge advocate of theirs, this is a charity close to my heart.
The first ever FACCA Friday will be March 4.
Any experienced martial artists are welcome to join in, as they have, MMA, Thai boxing, boxing, fitness classes and BJJ all going at the same time.
Kemp also thanked partner Elizabeth, Richard Neradil, Troy Blacker, Kevy, Damian, Dave and Dean for their help setting up and for all their advice.
