The workshops, designed to inspire and promote leadership, kicked off at Shoalhaven City Council chambers on Friday.
The three days of workshops were run by three US and three New Zealand facilitators who covered topics such as creating change within a community and/or business, politics, values, active listening and public speaking.
The forum was supported by Regional Development Australia Far South Coast and 20 other businesses.
NowChem managing director John Lamont said it was great to see so many people on board with the international program.
“The forum looks at global issues at a local level and encourages youths to create a project they can implement within the region,” he said.
“It increases skills in leadership and community involvement.”
Mr Lamont said the ultimate goal for the forum was to give young people the appropriate life and employment skills they need to succeed.
“The version of the program was originally developed, 10 years ago, by our now Mayor Joanna Gash to assist local youth. Since then it has been picked up overseas and interstate.”
The program was run at Shoalhaven City Council chambers and Waterslea on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
