NSW Government Local Land Services South East will host a free information and discussion session in Berry and Milton this week with the focus on worms in sheep, cattle, goats and alpacas.
NSW Department of Primary Industries expert on internal parasites of livestock Dr. Stephen Love will discuss the best management and worm control techniques.
Parasites are the most important health problem of grazing livestock. The session will cover issues of drench resistance, the cost worms have on a farm and what farmers can most effectively and efficiently do. There will also be a presentation of the Bega Valley Sheep Drench Resistance Trial by Dr.Helen Schaefer district veterinarian.
NSW Department of Primary Industries Wage War on Worms discussion will be held at Berry Community Church on Friday, October 16 from 10.30am and at the CWA Hall in Milton on Thursday, October 15 from 10.30am.
