It’s most recent, and energetic member Peter Jirgens was appointed project manager.
Eric Zarrella is president, Keith Hazlewood is vice president, Lorraine McCarthy is secretary and John Tate is treasurer.
Under the project management of Peter Jirgens, Riverwatch has renewed vigour in the task of planting mangroves along the banks of the Shoalhaven River.
The next working bee will be held on Tuesday, September 8. Anyone interested can confirm a place by phoning Mr Jirgens on 0488 460 011.
The group has submitted a local land services application for riverbank restoration work at Bamarang and Longreach using low-cost sandbagging.
A working bee is planned for that site later this year.
