The cold snap that engulfed the east coast of Australia dropped around five centimetres of snow on the property.
“It wasn’t just a light dusting, it was a good two inches,” Mr Walker said.
The couple have owned the property on the Nowra side of Sassafras, 45km west of Nowra and 20km east of Nerriga, for two years.
“It gets cold up here but this is the first time we have had snow,” he said.
“When we woke up Sunday morning it was snowing very lightly and it didn’t really stay on the ground, it melted away. But Monday morning everything was just white.
“It was amazing.”
Surprisingly he said it “wasn’t that cold”.
“It was only one or two degrees,” he said.
“On Sunday it was in the minuses.”
And while it might look pretty, one person describing the photo of their home like a snow chalet, it did create a few problems.
“The neighbours got bogged in their four-wheel drive, and we had to turn the generator on for power as the solar panels were all covered in snow,” Mr Walker said.
“Our pet goats were doing it a bit tough trying to find something green to eat.”
He said he even managed to slip on a couple of puddles in the driveway which had iced over.
