The visitors took the lead within 20 minutes when a slick move from the back was finished off by Brad Boardman.
Alex Bayer put Jim Niemeier through, before he whipped the ball into the box and found Brad Boardman who scored to give his side the early lead.
The score remained 1-nil at half time but it didn’t take Gerringong long to get back on the score sheet after half time.
This time it was Andy Lockard and Brad Boardman who combined to feed Gary Vian through, as he got his first goal of the match.
Shortly after, Riley Foenander set Vian up again, before he put the ball in the back of the net to earn himself a brace.
Gerringong coach Craig Farquhar said it was his side’s best performance of the season and said they are getting better each week.
“We’re definitely hitting our straps at the right time of the season.
“We were unlucky not to score more, but in saying that, we created a lot of chances, so we were always going to miss a lot as well,” he said.
Farquhar said it was important that his side keeps building ahead of a tough few weeks which starts next Saturday against Culburra.
“It will be a tough game next week, but we won’t be happy with anything but a win,” he said.
“Now is our chance, we are confident and hopefully we can get one up.”
Farquhar praised midfielder Alex Bayer on his man of the match performance as well as Riley Feonander who was instrumental in the victory.
He also said Gary Vian with his double and the Niemeier brothers, Jim and Gary, had solid games.
