The art auction includes work by internationally famous artists such as Lister Lister, Leonard Long, Robert Dickerson, Alun Leach-Jones and John Downton mixed with a number of prominent local artists.
About 100 paintings were donated to the Nowra Lions Club to be used in the auction fundraiser.
The club is raising money for a $36,000 machine to help disabled 15-year-old Keeden Waller.
He suffers from cerebral palsy and a number of other serious health issues, which include a blood clotting condition.
Nowra Lions Club president Janet Hughes was impressed with the calibre of artists involved.
“It’s just amazing how people have got behind this cause,” she said.
“We hope to help buy Keeden this machine, which could help to build up his leg muscles so then he might be able to use a wheelchair.”
Of the 100 paintings, 75 will be sold in a silent auction from noon on Friday May 29, while the remaining 25 will be auctioned at Riverside Gardens Terara during a cocktail party which starts at 6pm.
To register for the auction, or for an invitation to the cocktail party, phone Bob Wright on 4421 2799 or 0452 468 221. Telephone bids will be accepted by phoning Martin Taylor on 0416 625 011.
