The relay will start from Nowra Police Station at 10am and continue with festivities and displays at the reserve next to Stockland Nowra until 2pm.
The day will be a perfect opportunity for women to explore career options with the police.
Inspector Susan Charman-Horton has made an almost 30-year career in the police. In that time she has been Nowra’s first female sergeant and first inspector.
“Our workplace is like a big family and just like a family with brothers and sisters everyone in the police plays a role in looking after the community,” she said.
“By coming to our celebration on Thursday people can share in some of the values of the NSW Police Force, including gender equality, workplace diversity.”
A number of displays will be open on the day including emergency services, HMAS Albatross, Shoalhaven Zoo, Dusty the snake man, Dymocks and Coles.
