Late Saturday the helicopter crew was requested to help with an ill woman on the ship, 40 kilometres out to sea.
Westpac Lifesaver Helicopter CEO Stephen Leahy said the rescue featured female crew member, Samantha Law from Moruya, who is only the second woman ever to work on the South Coast helicopter.
Ms Law conducted the rescue, being winched from the helicopter into the ship’s rubber dingy.
The helicopter located the ship around 7.30pm.
The 50-year-old female passenger was suffering a medical condition but had been stabilised and cared for by the ship's medical team.
“The woman didn’t require any treatment by the crew, she was stable when bought onboard, we just had to transport her to hospital,” Mr Leahy said.
The Endeavour continued its northward journey.
