AS part of the Nowra Bridge upgrade it is intended to alleviate the congestion of traffic surrounding Bolong Road, Illaroo Road, and the Princes Highway. The congestion will be multiplied by the upgrade in its own right as the new bridge plan is to cut across Illaroo Road to come back onto the highway.

My suggestion is to move the cost of decreasing the congestion at this intersection and the costing for the Narang Road interchange with North Nowra to opening the Cambewarra West Road from North Nowra to West Cambewarra Road, Bomaderry.
Further to this is to call for expressions of interest (EOI) for the construction of a larger shopping precinct on the western side of the intersection of Moss Vale Road and the Princes Highway to defray the cost of getting West Cambewarra Road upgraded as the precinct would need a rear entrance.
Opening West Cambewarra Road would then mean all the traffic that used Illaroo Road to access Bomaderry, Shoalhaven Heads and the Princes Highway to travel north can use West Cambewarra Road as the link. The link can also lessen traffic while the third bridge is constructed.
