To be held at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, the event once again promises to be one of the highlights of Shoalhaven’s social calendar.
General manager of the Shoalhaven Business Chamber, Jennifer Stewart, said the awards celebrated the success and enterprise of the region’s businesses.
“We’re proud of the achievements of business in the Shoalhaven in the past year,” Ms Stewart said.
“Many of our businesses are among the most innovative in the country.”
Ms Stewart said at Friday night’s celebration awards will be presented in 14 categories: three to individuals and 11 to businesses. The big award of the night, however, is the coveted “Shoalhaven Business of the Year”.
“This award is voted on by the judges of the 11 business categories, and in 2014 was very competitive indeed. Three separate votes had to be taken before there was a clear decision.”
Ms Stewart said the chamber comprised a broad cross-section of Shoalhaven businesses, and involved organisations as diverse as the University of Wollongong and banking and financial institutions.
“Judges for the awards are locals who cannot nominate their own business in that year, and many of them are previous winners,” she said.
