I DO not agree with anything the Abbott government has done for Australians – nothing. I think Abbott and Hockey are crazy; they are both suffering from Tea Party myopia, a divisive concept for the advancement of poverty.

Their true colours came to the fore with their recent decision to cancel funding commitments to NSW – $557 million over the next four years, money needed to provide concessional rates for travel on public transport, discounts on rates, water bill exemptions, electricity rates and fee and tax exemptions on motor vehicle drivers’ licences and registrations.
Thank goodness for Gareth Ward.
I received a letter from Gareth wherein he advised he raised his concerns about the shortfall of federal concessional funding for pensioners and seniors directly with the NSW Premier and Treasurer.
And guess what? Gareth is very pleased to advise after lobbying the Premier and Treasurer, the NSW State Budget contained a key component to allocate additional funding of $107 million to maintain concessions for seniors in our region.
No doubt a bulldozer touch to stop the landslide in voter sentiment that would see you out of a job at the next election, Gareth.
Nothing more—nothing less.
