I say jaw dropping because that aptly describes the response of most members on hearing of Jamie’s 46 points game.
Of course after the jaw dropping a lot of members also uttered that immortal word as often used by Callala’s beloved Dickie Brooks (dec) “Unbelievable”!
A big congratulations Jamie “Legend” Reardon and welcome to your Legend status.
Runner-up for the day was to go to Col Chessell who came home with a very impressive 40 points which on any other day would have been a winning score.
Col’s achievement is an indication of the high standard of golf he played as to get such a score when playing off 16 is a great game.
Coming in third playing very consistent golf was Tony Pitt-Lancaster who like Col would have on any other day won with his score of 39 points.
Congratulations Tony and I had the pleasure of witnessing your great game.
So Saturday, July 26 was certainly no ordinary Stableford game of golf day.
