Personnel from the Rural Fire Service and Defence Fire Services had been undertaking scheduled hazard reduction burns on the southern end of the range.
Two ambulances and a supervisor’s vehicle were called to the range after reports of up to 15 personnel suffering smoke inhalation.
That initial call was downgraded.
Ambulance paramedics set up a staging area on Lighthouse Road near Long South Road and treated personnel as they came from the fire ground.
The Department of Defence and RFS have hazard reduction burns scheduled for the Beecroft Range throughout July and August.
