Ashley Brandon appeared before Magistrate David O’Connor, charged with demand property in company with menaces with intent to steal and take/detain persons with intent to obtain advantage.
Police allege Brandon, in company of two other men, approached a 20-year-old man who was sitting in his car in an underground car park of the Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Junction Street.
Police said the three men got into the car and allegedly ordered the man to drive to an ATM on Junction Street, where he withdrew cash.
Police allege the trio took cash from the man and instructed him to drive to an address in Bomaderry, where they left the car and walked into a home.
Police, who are continuing investigations into the incident, arrested Brandon at 6pm on Thursday.
Magistrate O’Connor granted Brandon conditional bail to reappear in Nowra Local Court on September 16.
