Realistically the Eagles chances are very slim as they are still five points behind fifth spot, but at very least they can have an effect on the makeup of the finals.
The Eagles have knocked off two teams from the top five in as many weeks and are still the only side to beat Warilla and they should have taken some confidence from their recent results.
While they will be happy to be winning games, they might be scratching their heads as to why they couldn’t do it earlier in the season.
Whether or not they can give the competition a shake remains to be seen, but they have a good chance to win their fourth straight game against Milton-Ulladulla.
The Bulldogs have had even less than the Eagles to celebrate this season and they will be desperate for a win to get them out of danger of finishing with the wooden spoon.
