Last Sunday seven cyclists rode to Comerong Island, four from the tourist centre and three from the punt.
The morning was cool but sunny, with only a gentle breeze.
The route was scenic beside the Shoalhaven River and along the sandy track in the nature reserve, surrounded by bush.
A pleasant sunny midway stop was taken at the breakwall, while riders enjoyed water views towards Crookhaven Heads, Orient and Greenwell points.
The riders returned the same way, crossing on the punt then cycling back along Comerong Island Road, with a stiffer westerly breeze to push through.
On Thursday nine riders cycled from Currarong to Point Perpendicular, also visiting the Outer Tubes and Long Beach, where they cycled along the sand towards Cabbage Tree Point.
It was another cold and windy morning, but not unpleasant.
There was a scenic, panoramic view of the sea, rocky cliffs and distant mountain ranges.
This Thursday's midweek mountain bike ride on July 17 will start at 9am from the bus shelter on Worrigee Road near the crematorium entrance.
