Nine Shoalhaven athletes competed in the cross country events with great running by everyone involved.
In the under 13s Jade Mustapic took home bronze after a last minute sprint to the line.
She missed out on second by milliseconds.
Victoria Kennedy finished a commendable 16th in the same race.
Another bronze medal was taken by Hugh Dobson in the boy’s under 13s.
Hugh ran a strong race to earn a well deserved podium finish.
Jesse Buckham also finished seventh in the under 13s.
This was a great effort to have two athletes from a country club finish in the top eight in the same race.
The competition from Sydney based clubs was fierce, the event attracting some of the best cross country athletes.
The boys were both presented with a certificate on the day from Australian Olympian Youcef Abdi for a top eight finish.
Other results included Alisha Mustapic in the u7s who finished 16th.
Alec Dobson in the u9s secured himself a top eight finish with seventh place while sisters Leah Dobson finished 21st in the u12s and Clare Dobson finished 11th in the u15s.
Cameron Musgrove ran a personal best to place 10th in the boy’s u15s.
